Well, we’ve been back home for over a week already. The boys and I transitioned well and have been enjoying the last few weeks before Ethan goes back to school again.
I made some coconut griddle cakes one morning last week. We all loved them and they were incredibly easy!
We watched “Winnie the Pooh” (1977 version) with my old Winnie from childhood. They absolutely loved it. Well, Ethan told me that “Winnie the Pooh wants to watch more of his show” so maybe it’s really the stuffed animal who liked it…
We’ve updated our some picture frames. I love that I keep the old picture behind all of the updated ones! That’s 5 years worth of pictures…one year we didn’t get a very good picture so I never replaced it that year. =)
On Wednesday night after work we went to a track near our house. Mike and I took turns running a lap and doing squats and push ups. Now I know it doesn’t really count since I had breaks in between, but I ran 4 laps in 8:04!! The boys loved cheering for us and running parts of the track to race us.
I “cleaned” the oven last week (the self-cleaning button actually works, people!). First time….ever. So we spent a lot of time outside that day to stay away from the fumes.
We went grocery shopping and got stocked up. There were lots of free samples! Yum!
This past Sunday was “Promotion Sunday” at our church. This meant that Ethan will now be worshipping with us for the service and then will meet with the other kids for Sunday School. He was given a “big enough” bag full of things to do during the service. He chose to copy my notes the whole time. He was pretty excited about that. He wrote “the longest word ever”: countercultural.
