This weekend marked Mike’s 5th annual trip with the guys. Many of the previous years Cassia came to visit me during this trip so that it was a weekend I looked forward to also. One year the guys went to Chicago, so the boys and I joined them and spent time with family and friends in Wisconsin.
Here’s a brief flashback to those years:
2013 (nothing exciting for me this year…):
2011 (I am pregnant with Micah):
2009 (Cass’ first – I think – overnight without Hana):
This year, Mike and the guys were in California. Isn’t this hilarious?? Four out of 8 of them wore green shirts one day…not planned. =D
The boys and I enjoyed a weekend here. I tried to come up with fun things to do with them… We built a fort. We had Chipotle for dinner on Friday night and ate “with” Aunt Jennie. That evening we had special treats and watched “Turbo” together. We loved it! Very funny.
We ate breakfast with Grandpa and Grandma on Saturday morning and then showed them our books and toys. Micah kept surprising them by jumping out of our fort.
We worked out together that morning and then went to the pool with our neighbors for a little bit. We had lunch “with” Jen and Jason, but I forgot to take a picture of it.
Saturday evening we had pizza. E helped Micah put his new crocs on. They WERE holding hands to cross the street seconds before I snapped this picture…almost adorable pic. =/ We watched “The Jesus Storybook Bible” story that evening instead of reading the Bible. They love it! I highly recommend following it on Facebook.
Sunday morning I found my boys downstairs coloring…. We went to church, had lunch, took “rests” and then just played. We watched the Jesus Storybook Bible again that evening and headed to bed early. Ethan’s Sunday School teachers told me that he said the prayer for the whole K-5th grade group at church and did a great job. Proud mama. =)
Mike had a great time with his buddies and we had a good time here, too. We’re glad to have him back home again!!
