Savage Race

You may remember that last April Mike competed in his first Savage Race.  He participated with a few of his co-workers and had a blast.  He enjoyed himself so much that he agreed to do another Savage Race, this time with some friends from our church.  The boys and I decided to “sign our lives away” again to cheer them on and snap some pictures and videos.  We had awesome weather and really loved spending the day outside.  Again, apologies for the naughty names of the obstacles…this post is automatically rated PG-13 because of it! =/  The boys and I managed to make it to watch the guys do 12 of the 25 obstacles: 1, 5-11, 18, 21, 23, and 25.

I didn’t catch Mike’s climb up this crazy tall wall, but he made it on his first try.  I wanted to show a video of Yianni doing it so that you could at least see what it was like!

We had an awesome time and loved getting to know these guys from our church a little better, too.  They were VERY speedy, so the boys and I like to say that we also participated in the Savage Race since we were hustling around the course as fast as we could to make it to all the obstacles.  Next year, Ethan would like to participate in the junior savage race.  As you saw from the pictures, he and Micah practiced some of it while we were watching the guys.  So much fun.
