It’s Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas…

So, I love Thanksgiving.  I love it.  I love the wonderful excuse to tell people and God all about the things for which I am thankful.  And I have so, so, so many things!  But, I absolutely adore the Christmas season and everything that it means: Jesus came down to save us!  God with us!  It’s incredible and brings me so much JOY.

We spend the day after Thanksgiving decorating our house and try to center our attention on preparing our hearts for celebrating the coming of Jesus.  We started the day with a yummy breakfast and then got right to the decorating.  The boys wanted to waste absolutely no time.

Here are some of the boys’ “Baby’s First Christmas” ornaments (unreal!): IMG_1195 IMG_1196 IMG_1199

These are some of my favorite ornaments.  We have a picture for each year since 2011: IMG_1193_2 IMG_1209IMG_1206 IMG_1212 IMG_1219 IMG_1221

These are ornaments made by Ellie and Hana: IMG_1216

Micah had a special project, to sort the special rocks so that we only had red and green in the bowl:

We also pulled out all of our Christmas books:

I couldn’t find a picture from our first year of marriage, but here’s us with our Christmas tree in year 2 of marriage (2007):
