Advent Activity: Make something special for our pastor
It is probably for good reason that people say that unhappy people tend to be the loudest. I know I don’t go out of my way to applaud someone (a waiter, a customer service person, our pastors, etc. etc.) when they are doing a good job, but most people are plenty quick to give criticism or a bad review if they are not pleased with something/someone. We have loved our church and have grown a lot over this past year+ so we wanted to spend some time acknowledging our pastor for all that he has taught us! Here’s a picture of Ethan working on his card:
“And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.” (Matthew 2:11b)
Micah learned that Jesus was given 3 gifts at church this week. I had the pleasure of being in his class, so it was fun to be able to remind him of the truth he had already learned. And Ethan learned what each of those gifts were and even had the opportunity to smell frankincense and myrrh when he was at school. Cool!
