Art projects & Work books

The boys were given a fun art project from Great Granny A.  I’m not even sure how to describe it, but the pictures will give you an idea….  Ethan loved working on this!  Micah wasn’t able to do it quite yet, but he was pretty proud of his brother’s work. =)

When I hosted a bunch of ladies from church, we made “Blessing Jars”.  The idea is that you record ways the Lord has spoken to you, or things He has done in your life, or things for which you are thankful.  It seemed like the ladies enjoyed decorating the mason jars, but I KNOW my boys loved it.  We had some left over jars, so the day following the party the boys made their own blessing jars.

E has always enjoyed doing workbooks and word searches, but it’s only been the last few days that Micah has discovered how much he enjoys doing workbooks, too.  Micah started by saying he wanted to “do lines”, meaning drawing a line that connects one picture to another or letters to pictures, etc.  He has been having a blast and keeping his attention on it for a good half hour+ each day.  Yay!
