Indoor Activities

It rains a lot here.  I actually recently heard (from a friend) that Georgia gets more inches of rain than Seattle each year.  I believe it!!  All that to say, we spend a fair amount of time indoors.  We keep busy indoors doing things like…

…making swords:

…going to the library:

…doing addition/subtraction worksheets:

…”snipping” and putting stickers on paper:

…racing cars in the tub, just because we can: IMG_2936

…reading books (Ethan amazes me with how well he can read.  Quick story: yesterday I came home from volunteering at the Compassion Experience and they had given me a new shirt.  Ethan studied my shirt and said, “Change the story.  The Compassion Experience.”  What??  Those are tough words and definitely not sight words from school.)

…making his own math flashcards and making ridiculous faces:

…racing cars and keeping track of who wins the most by using legos as trophies:

…eating yummy snacks:

…and playing a NEW game called “Action”:IMG_3045 IMG_3046 IMG_3047 IMG_3048 IMG_3049

*Action is a game designed for days we can’t run around outside.  It consists of “actions” such as jumping jacks, squats, push ups, sit ups, and standing on one foot.  It is not for the faint of heart.

Micah is particularly fond of Easter egg hunts and would do this all day, every day if I would let him.  When I tucked him into bed tonight, he said, “I want to wake up and do another Easter egg hunt!”
