“Practicing” homeschool

We’ve decided to get ready for our first year of home school by doing a little bit of it during the summer.  Both boys get in on this action and, thankfully, LOVE it.  I take no credit for their love of learning, but I sure am happy about it!  On the first day of summer, we bought both boys two different notebooks.  In two of the notebooks I make various worksheets for each boy to do – math, alphabetizing, and clocks for Ethan and matching, coloring or circling various letters/shapes, and drawing lines for Micah.  In the other notebook, Ethan does a journal entry of some sort and also draws a picture to go along with the Bible story we are studying that day.  Micah also draws a picture to go along with the Bible study, but he doesn’t journal quite yet. =)

We have also done some art projects:

And Ethan has continued working on typing by sending emails to Hana.  She requested a picture of his teeth – since he has now lost 6 of them.
