Last week we tested ourselves on our President knowledge. E and I (with a little help from Micah) put all 44 Presidents in order without looking it up. It didn’t take us long and then we checked our work – we didn’t miss a thing! We memorized them by listening to the Animaniac’s Presidents song on YouTube. Micah has a good chunk of the song memorized, too, which is hilarious!
E started his own business making fitness dice. He has officially finished one set for his Auntie Jen and is working on two sets for Grandpa and Grandma. He was PUMPED when he got his first payment and has lots of plans for it. He even paid me, his helper, 20 cents for all of my work. =)
Meanwhile, Micah has been busy making beads and coloring. You will find him wearing either Packers socks, Packers pants, Packers shirt, or army shorts every.single.day.of.the.week….or some combination of them all. As soon as the laundry is done, he changes into part of his favorite outfit.
Last week we had to rake leaves…in 90 degree weather. It was very, very strange.
The boys have been enjoying some iPad time this summer. They especially enjoy “Memory Train” and drawing pictures on the doodle app.
I cannot stop laughing when I look at this picture. Ethan definitely has some of his Mommy’s features. This is me when I was about 12 (I think!) and Ethan just the other day trying on ridiculous glasses at the store:
Ethan has been asking for a wallet for a while now. We actually made a call to Jennie asking her for some fair trade stores that might sell kids’ wallets. As soon as we got off the phone I got a text from her saying, “I just bought them wallets from the pro shop – stall! The package will get there this afternoon.” Their reaction….makes me smile. Both boys were very excited about their new wallets! Thanks, Auntie.
Our dear friend from Colorado was in town for work this week. We were very excited to have him over for dinner. The boys really enjoyed getting to “meet” him…even though he had spent lots of time with us in Colorado. <– Grant and Lani with Ethan the day after he was born! We had to show the boys some pictures of Grant from when we lived nearby. Lots of history with that guy! =)
