Last week we went to an apple orchard about an hour away with some of our friends from church. We had a great time picking Rome Beauties right off the tree! But before we picked the apples, we went in their petting zoo. That was pretty fun for the kiddos; Micah especially loved getting to touch one of his favorite animals, the bunny. (it happened very quickly, so I missed the photo op)
So, what do you do when you have tons of apples?? You make apple crisp. Twice. We made some for our family to enjoy (and to test) and then made some for our church buffet. It was a gluten-free recipe and I don’t like to bring things like that for other people to eat if I haven’t tried it first. =) We loved it! Micah was incredibly helpful. He literally squeezed the orange juice I needed all by himself.
