Moving Activities

Ethan helped me work on our moving day activities countdown.  We started it when we had 14 days until moving day.  I thought it would be a fun way to be looking forward to all of the overwhelming tasks ahead of us and to keep us from wallowing. =D  It’s proven to be mostly fun, but sometimes it’s just another thing I have to do…in my already packed schedule.  Oh well.  I’m still glad we’re doing it! =)

14 days until moving day: take down snowflakes

13 Days… (I was downtown helping my sister during this weekend, so Mikey did an excellent job taking pictures of their activities!) buy moving materials:

12 Days – make a video of our home in Georgia for our future selves. Mike did an INCREDIBLE job on these videos with the boys.  I’m super impressed.  Another day we will set up a link to YouTube or something to share that with you.  Suffice it to say, it’s cute.   They also spent a lot of time cleaning out the basement and playing with old boxes that we had saved down there:

11 Days… The guys met Aunt Jen and I downtown for a special night on the town.  We went out to dinner at The Varsity – a famous diner – and then rode on the ferris wheel.  It was awesome that Aunt Jen could join us on this adventure – it made it extra special!

10 Days (January 18) – take down pictures from our walls (SO sad…but exciting to think about putting them all up again in our new home soon!)

9 days – I didn’t take any pictures of this activity as it was not very exciting: take down stars from ceiling and start packing up the school room. =/  We were hoping to go to Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield, but the weather was pretty cold and we thought we’d enjoy it more if it was warmer.

More to come…
