Doing a “Murph” on Memorial Day is a common workout in the CrossFit community. It’s done to honor a Navy SEAL who died in Afghanistan serving our country. This year Mike and some of his buddies did a modified Murph in the park. Ethan rode his bike as the “pace car” for the mile run at the beginning and the end. In between the mile runs, these guys did 50 pull ups, 100 push ups and 150 squats. Next year, they’ll double each of those (and maybe even do it with 20 lb weights on their chest like the legit work out requires). Anyway, it was a really fun way to celebrate Memorial Day!
We went out to lunch with our friends afterwards and then later that afternoon we had ice cream floats – a fun milestone for the boys! =D
